Battery Backup Pump Maintenance in Upland

Severe storms often bring power outages along with the rain. A battery backup pump keeps water moving when the main pump loses power or fails. We load test the battery, check the charger and alarm and run the backup pump on its own. Most backup batteries need replacing every three to five years.

Annual Sump Pump Check-ups in Upland

Regular annual maintenance is crucial for the longevity and reliability of your sump pump. Our technicians perform a thorough inspection, checking the motor, impeller, float switch and discharge lines for any signs of wear or blockage. We also test the system's operation by filling the pit with water to ensure it activates correctly and pumps water away efficiently, protecting your Upland home from unexpected flooding.

Check Valve and Discharge Line Service in Upland, CA

The check valve stops pumped water from falling back into the pit when the pump shuts off. A failed valve makes the pump run twice as often and wears out the motor. We test and replace check valves and inspect the discharge pipe for cracks and loose joints. We also make sure water exits away from the house so it does not soak into the soil near the slab or foundation.

Crawlspace and Window Well Pumps in Upland, CA

Not every sump sits in a basement. Many homes with crawlspaces or deep window wells use small pumps to clear runoff. We service these smaller units, clear their screens and confirm the discharge reaches daylight or an approved drain. Mountain and high desert communities in Southern California do get hard freezes, so pipes there need insulation and proper winter care.

Pre-Storm Season Pump Testing in Upland

Long dry spells are the norm in Southern California, and water restrictions shape choices like low-flow fixtures and smart irrigation controls. We test your pump ahead of the rainy season by filling the pit until the float trips. We watch the pump empty the basin, listen for grinding bearings and measure how fast it cycles. If the pump struggles, you still have time to fix it before the first big storm.
