Catch Basin Cleaning in Palmdale, CA

Catch basins are critical parts of any storm drainage system in Palmdale, CA, designed to collect runoff and trap debris before it enters the main drain lines. Regular cleaning of catch basins is important to prevent them from becoming overloaded and causing blockages further down the system. Our service includes removing built-up leaves, sediment, trash, and other debris from catch basins, so they work correctly and protect your entire drainage system. This preventative maintenance is key to avoiding larger issues.

Emergency Storm Drain Clearing in Palmdale

If water is pooling against your home during a storm, a clogged drain is often the cause. We respond to urgent calls to clear the blockage and get water moving. In the moment, we focus on the inlet and pipe that are causing the flooding. Once the storm passes, we can clean the rest of the system. We also note any grading or drainage issues that made the problem worse.

Dry Well Cleaning and Inspection in Palmdale, CA

Dry wells let storm water soak into the ground instead of flowing to a street. They are found on commercial sites, HOA common areas and some residential lots. Silt slowly seals the settling chamber and the drainage rock, slowing how fast water drains. We vacuum the chamber, inspect the inlet and outlet, and check drain-down time. If the dry well no longer drains properly, we explain options for repair or replacement.

Downspout and Roof Drain Lines in Palmdale, CA

Many homes connect downspouts to buried pipe that carries water away from the foundation. These lines clog with roof granules, leaves and nests, then back up and dump water at the wall. We jet them clear and test with a hose to confirm flow at the outlet. For flat roofs with scuppers, we check that the discharge path is open too. Keeping water away from the slab helps protect against soil movement and cracking.

Yard and Area Drain Cleaning in Palmdale

Yard drains and area inlets collect runoff from lawns, rock landscaping and patios. Over time the grates fill with leaves and the pipes fill with silt and small gravel. We pull the grates, vacuum the inlet box and jet the pipe toward its outlet. This restores the line so it can handle a full storm. We also check that grates are secure and level.

Storm Drain Video Inspection in Palmdale

Before and after cleaning, a video inspection is crucial for storm drains in Palmdale. Our cameras can travel through the drain lines, letting us accurately identify the type and location of blockages, assess pipe integrity, and confirm the results of our cleaning. This technology helps prevent unnecessary digging and gives you a precise solution, especially useful for diagnosing issues hidden underground. Most homes in Southern California sit on concrete slabs, so slab leaks often show up as warm floors, wet carpet, or an unexplained jump in the water bill.

Root Removal from Storm Drains in Palmdale

Tree roots are a common cause of severe storm drain blockages in Palmdale, especially in older neighborhoods with mature trees. Roots seek out moisture and can infiltrate drain pipes through tiny cracks or loose joints, growing and eventually completely blocking water flow. FKM Plumbing uses dedicated root-cutting attachments on our drain snakes and hydro jetting equipment to cut through and remove root intrusions. After removal, we can recommend further steps to prevent future root problems.
